COROS
Connect COROS
Connect your COROS account once, in the Shakeout app. Runs you record on your COROS watch tick off your sessions, and the sessions in your plan appear on the watch.
How to connect
There is no web login. The connection is made in the app:
- Open Shakeout and go to the ME tab.
- Choose Connected apps, then COROS.
- Press Connect COROS.
- Sign in to COROS on the page that opens and allow access. You land back in the app.
You need a Shakeout account and a COROS account. Shakeout never sees your COROS password.
What comes in
When you finish a run on your COROS watch and it syncs to the COROS app, COROS tells Shakeout. The next time you open Shakeout, it downloads the run, matches it to the session you were set, and counts it toward your weekly distance and your fitness score. Runs, trail runs and track runs come in. Other activities do not.
The run file passes through our server on its way to your phone and is not stored there. The run itself is logged on your phone and kept in your backup, like a run from Apple Health.
What goes out
Your next 30 running sessions are sent to your COROS calendar, with each step's distance or time and its pace range. Sync your watch and they are there to run. When your plan changes, the sessions on COROS are updated to match.
Nothing else is sent to COROS.
How to disconnect
In Shakeout, go to ME, then Connected apps, then COROS, and press Disconnect. We delete the access COROS gave us straight away and tell COROS to revoke it. You can also unbind Shakeout in the COROS app. After that nothing comes in or goes out, and Shakeout asks you to connect again the next time it tries to reach COROS. Runs already logged stay in your training either way.
Deleting your Shakeout account disconnects COROS as well.
Your data
What we keep for the connection, and for how long, is in section 4.3 of thePrivacy Policy.
